Reviving heritage through contemporary realism.
I am a Contemporary Realist Artist based in Bangalore. Although an Agricultural Engineer by qualification from TNAU Coimbatore, India, (1994 batch) I was very passionate about Art and had a natural affinity towards Archeology from an early age.
Born and brought up in Tamil Nadu, India, which is known for its ancient temples and architecture, I grew up in awe of the architecture of the Dravidian Temples and their beautiful sculptures. Throughout our period of relocation to multiple cities in India , like Chennai, Mumbai and Kolkata , I continued to learn different mediums from various mentors and through part time Art classes. Once we relocated to Singapore I found some time for myself which really helped me buff up my skills in Art . A part time diploma at NAFA, Singapore and my mentorship under established Artist and Sculptor Gnana Dickam helped me look at Art from a very new different perspective .

The subjects in my paintings are rendered in oil, while I use oil, acrylic, or texture paste for the background, chosen based on each unique subject.
Paintings range from 1x1 ft to 5x4 ft. The optimal size to appreciate the 3D sculpture effect is 2.5x2.5 ft. Larger works are magnificent for big walls; smaller pieces look stunning in pairs.

Every stroke on these canvases is a conversation with a silent ancestor. In the displacement of India's heritage, we find not just loss, but a fragmented language waiting to be reassembled.
"Art is the medium through which we claim back the pieces of ourselves left in the dust of history."
Through contemporary realism, we don't just replicate stone; we breathe back the vitality into figures that have spent centuries in shadows.
"We are not just painting stone; we are painting the memory of a civilization."
